Colt Update
September 9, 2024
Thank you for continuing to follow the traffic patterns at school.
A couple of reminders:
● There is only one exit from the campus.
● Please pull all the way forward in the K-2 line if you need to exit your vehicle.
We sincerely appreciate your help. Everyone working together makes a safer environment for all of our students and parents.

Field Trips
Our 5th-8th graders traveled to Simply Natural Creamery in Ayden, North Carolina for a field trip. The STEM classes learned about cows and what it takes to raise them. They got to see first hand how a creamery functions and even got to sample some of the products made there.
Our yearbook class will be traveling to Harbor Park to go “backstage” to learn more about marketing, branding, promotional sponsorships, and photography skills.
Classes are encouraged to have hands-on learning experiences this year. This will include field trips and inviting speakers to classrooms.

Albemarle School
Capital Improvement Campaign
Join Albemarle School in building a better tomorrow by participating in a unique initiative by purchasing a customized brick.
As Albemarle School grows the needs become greater in many ways. To meet the growth need, we have broken ground for new classrooms that will offer a better learning experience and safety for students. You can make an impression on our school grounds and have the opportunity to preserve your name, your family, or business. These bricks will stand as an enduring element of our school’s landscape, serving as a reminder for future generations of the remarkable community that continues to lay the groundwork for our growth.
Your involvement extends beyond a mere brick; it represents an investment in the future of Albemarle School. The funds generated will help support the improvement of the facilities, creating opportunities for both current and future students. We can pave the way for lasting success and growth.
For a donation of $250.00, you purchase a 4 x 8 engraved brick, allowing up to three (3) lines of text with a maximum of twenty (20) characters per line, including spaces and any punctuation. The purchaser is responsible for ensuring that the engraving
text is spelled correctly.
Make your purchase by completing the attached form with a check payable to Albemarle School and either mailing or dropping it off at the school. Credit cards will be accepted by calling or stopping by the school, but the form will be needed for engraving purposes.
The last day to make an impression on our school grounds for a better tomorrow will be Friday, November 15, 2024.

COLT UPDATE
August 23, 2024
Thank you for a wonderful opening week. We appreciate all of your patience and help.
Traffic Line
Each day has improved remarkably with drop-off and pick-up. With everyone’s continued patience, it will continue to do so. If you are a K-2 parent, please pull forward to the drop-off doors if you need to exit the vehicle to assist your student in the building. This will alleviate the back up on the highway and provide a safer drop-off process.
Parent/Teacher Meetings
If you need to speak to your child’s teacher, please schedule a time via email. Drop-off and pick-up times require teachers to supervise all of their students and does not allow for the attention needed for a conference.
