Many exciting things happened at Albemarle School during the month of December. There were plenty of Christmas celebrations in each classroom. Special thanks to all the students, teachers and Ms. Shannon Bright for the outstanding Christmas performance. The students’ performance was before a packed house in the gymnasium and the play and music was enjoyed by all. Everyone also enjoyed the special visit from Santa Claus. Dear Parents/Guardians: The staff at Albemarle School would like to thank you for your help in making our first fifteen days of school go smoothly. Our students and staff are excited about the beginning of the 2011-2012 school year. Thanks also for the huge turnout of parents that we had for our Open House on August 15. We have survived Irene with very little damage and had a very successful playground fundraiser. We appreciate the people who helped clean up after the storm and the volunteers who helped out with plates for the BBQ/Chicken dinner. There will be another fundraiser for the playground on Thursday, September 8. Applebee’s along with the Coastal Carolina Riders will sponsor “Dining to Donate”. If you dine at Applebee’s on this day and present a coupon, 20% of your bill will be donated toward the playground at Albemarle School. Coupons may be picked up in the office. September will be a busy month as we continue to get organized for our school year. We would encourage every parent to become involved and to help as we work on fundraisers, support our Colt Family and athletic booster clubs or just to volunteer in the classroom.
