     Albemarle School encourages close personal contact among students, faculty, and parents. The result is a supportive, family-like atmosphere that gives students the confidence to tackle challenge and to develop new skills.

     Highly trained, dedicated, caring, and creative accurately describes the Albemarle School faculty. Teachers enjoy teaching in an atmosphere where their work is valued and they have support from parents, administrators, and board members. Small classes and eager students create an atmosphere where a high degree of excellence for adults and students is possible. Albemarle School recruits its faculty in order to hire the best teachers, many of whom hold advanced degrees and are state certified in several areas including being recognized as mentor teachers.

     Parents who send their children to Albemarle School have made education a priority and are committed to the success of their children and the school. Their satisfaction with Albemarle is reflected in the high level of re-enrollment. They ably serve the school as members of the Board of Trustees, Parent Teacher Organization members, Athletic Booster members, coaches, classroom volunteers, and extra-curricular advisors. Whether helping out with house and grounds work, driving for field trips, managing the fund raising activities, or serving on a calling committee, parents are important partners in the education of their children.
