Welcome to Albemarle School
Located in Northeastern North
Carolina’s center for economic, cultural, and educational development, Albemarle
School is clearly enjoying a renewed interest in its programs for children of
the Albemarle Area. Serving preschool through twelfth grade, the school welcomes
students from the counties of Pasquotank, Dare, Currituck, Camden, Perquimans,
Bertie, Gates, and Chowan, who represent a variety of multi-cultural backgrounds.
For over thirty years, the private school has educated young men and women who
have become leaders in their communities and have graduated from a variety of
post-secondary settings including Duke University, constituent institutions of
the University of North Carolina system, Dartmouth, Davidson College, Elon College,
Randolph-Macon College, and many others. With new, dedicated leadership, the school is
rapidly expanding its program from within and has also sought cooperative
agreements with other educational institutions and businesses to broaden its
academic horizons.
Mutual
respect and parental involvement in every aspect of the school community continue
to be the cornerstone of strength on which the success of Albemarle students is
founded. With that sort of support and cooperation the Board of Directors, administrators,
and the faculty look with enthusiasm toward a new degree of commitment with a mission that
boldly declares "to inspire excellence and character in a nurturing environment."
